The chains made at the start of a row or round to bring the yarn up to the height of the stitches.
How to Turning Chain
1. Sc: ch 1. Hdc and dc: ch 2. Tr: ch 3. Dtr: ch 4.
2. Work the first stitch into the first stitch of the row.
💡 Pro Tips
In our patterns the turning chain never counts as a stitch — the stitch count in brackets never includes it.
