Caught before a single buyer saw it.
$20–50 an houris what a tech editor charges to catch count errors. Most designers can't afford one for a $5 pattern.
Fixes never arriveEtsy can't send an updated file to people who already bought. Your help page here can.
Testing in DMsFeedback scattered across Instagram, Facebook groups and Google Forms, with testers who go quiet.
The whole journey, in one place

From first draft to happy buyer.

Designer replaces the juggling, not the designer. You write the pattern; we count, calculate, organise and publish.

Check

Every round counted, with the maths shown.

  • Starts from what the round before really made and works every instruction
  • Wrong counts show the arithmetic, so you can see why in a second
  • A round it can't read is marked "tell us what you meant", never quietly passed
  • Undefined abbreviations and mixed US/UK terms are flagged too

12 × 5 = 60 sts
Says 64, but these stitches make 60.
Test

Testing without the DMs and the ghosting.

  • A private link and your own questions for people who apply
  • Approve who you want and see which sizes are covered
  • Testers work round by round and leave notes, with photos, on the exact round
  • Every note in one inbox with a status, so a fix is never lost
  • Testers keep a list of every pattern they've tested on their profile

Release & support

A PDF you're proud to sell.

Colour-coded sizes, “stop here” notes for each size, abbreviations with UK equivalents, your testers' makes, and a short link to the pattern's help page, where buyers ask questions and always see the latest version.

Sample by a fictional designer. Every count in it checks out.

How the free trial works

  1. 1Create your account. No card, nothing to cancel.
  2. 27 days of everything — write, check, test and release.
  3. 3Upgrade when you're ready. Your patterns stay put either way.
Private by default

Your pattern is yours.

Never public unless you say so

Private patterns are shown only to you and the testers you approve, and are never indexed by search engines.

Never written for you

Designer checks and calculates. It doesn't design or rewrite your pattern, and anything drafted for you is clearly marked.

Your buyers stay yours

Buyers only hear from us if they tick that box themselves. Help pages keep working even if you cancel.

Questions

How does the free trial work?

Create an account and your studio opens straight away, for 7 days, with no card. Nothing is charged unless you choose to upgrade.

What happens when the trial ends?

The studio asks you to upgrade before you carry on. Everything you made is kept, and any help pages you've shared keep working for your buyers.

Do my testers need to pay?

No. Testers use a free My Crochet Studio account. Testing never uses their free patterns, and their profile lists every pattern they've tested.

Does this sell my patterns for me?

No. Keep selling on Etsy, Ravelry, Payhip or your own site. Designer helps you write, test and support the pattern; it takes no cut of your sales.

What if a round can't be read?

It's marked as needing you, with the words we couldn't follow. Nothing is passed unless the stitches were actually counted.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from your billing settings. Your patterns stay yours, and the help pages in PDFs you've sold keep working.
