1. Service Description

My Crochet Studio is an AI-powered crochet pattern generator. We use artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to create crochet patterns based on your descriptions. The service includes:

• AI-generated crochet pattern creation
• Pattern library for saving and organizing patterns
• Pattern sharing via Circles
• Yarn stash management
• Gift pattern generator
• Pattern resizer
• Project journal and community features
• PDF download and email delivery of patterns

2. Account Registration

To use My Crochet Studio, you must create an account via email registration, magic link, or Google sign-in. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

3. Plans and Pricing

• 5 AI pattern generations per month
• Save up to 10 patterns from other creators
• Unlimited storage of your own generated patterns
• Browse and save public patterns
• Row counter

Maker Plan ($10/month or $89/year)

• Unlimited AI pattern generations
• Unlimited pattern library
• Print-ready PDF downloads
• Email patterns to yourself
• Gift occasion generator
• Yarn stash tracker
• Circle sharing
• Pattern resizer
• Seasonal reminders

Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes as determined by our payment processor, Paddle.

4. Billing and Payment

• All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our Merchant of Record
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal
• Upon cancellation, your Maker features remain active until the end of the current billing period
• We do not store your payment details — all payment data is handled securely by Paddle

5. Refund Policy

All subscription payments are non-refundable. Because the service provides immediate access to AI-generated content, we cannot offer refunds for any billing period that has already begun. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

6. AI-Generated Content

• Patterns are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors in stitch counts, measurements, or instructions
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated pattern
• You are responsible for reviewing patterns before use, especially for items intended for babies, children, or safety-critical applications
• Pattern descriptions you submit are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for generation; no personal information is shared

7. Intellectual Property and Licensing

Patterns generated on My Crochet Studio are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This means:

• You may share, adapt, and build upon patterns with attribution
• You may not sell or commercially redistribute the pattern text itself
• You may sell finished crochet items made from the patterns
• Modified patterns must be shared under the same license

The My Crochet Studio platform, its design, code, branding, and non-pattern content are the property of My Crochet Studio and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. User Content and Conduct

When using My Crochet Studio, you agree not to:

• Submit harmful, offensive, or illegal content in pattern descriptions, project journals, or community posts
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the AI generation system
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the service
• Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
• Share content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Harass, bully, or abuse other community members
• Spam or post unsolicited promotional content

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms.

9. Community Features

My Crochet Studio includes community features such as project sharing, comments, and likes. By participating:

• You grant us a non-exclusive license to display your shared content on the platform
• You retain ownership of your original project photos and descriptions
• You acknowledge that public projects are visible to all users
• We may moderate or remove content that violates our community guidelines

10. Privacy

Your use of My Crochet Studio is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Affiliate Links

My Crochet Studio may include affiliate links (e.g., to Amazon for yarn purchases). We may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. These links do not influence our pattern generation or recommendations.

12. Service Availability

• We strive to keep My Crochet Studio available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control
• AI generation depends on third-party services (Anthropic) and may be subject to their availability
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice

13. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Patterns you made public may remain available after account deletion

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• My Crochet Studio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to wasted materials, time, or injury from using AI-generated patterns
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for any third-party services (Paddle, Anthropic, Amazon) linked from or integrated with My Crochet Studio

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
