Tunisian Simple Stitch
Also known as: Afghan stitch, TSS
Tunisian crochet, worked with a long hook: loops are picked up across the row and then worked off on the way back. The fabric is dense and looks woven.
How to Tunisian Simple Stitch
1. Forward pass: insert hook under the front vertical bar of each stitch and pull up a loop, keeping every loop on the hook.
2. Return pass: yarn over, pull through 1 loop, then (yarn over, pull through 2 loops) until 1 loop remains.
3. Repeat both passes.
💡 Pro Tips
Use a hook 2 sizes larger than usual — the fabric tends to curl.
