Slip Stitch Ribbing
Also known as: Sl st BLO rib
Rows of slip stitches through the back loop only. Very stretchy and flat, it looks like knitted ribbing.
How to Slip Stitch Ribbing
1. Chain the depth of the ribbing and work a row of sc.
2. Next row: ch 1, sl st in the back loop only of each st across, turn.
3. Repeat — the rows stack into vertical ribs.
💡 Pro Tips
Keep the slip stitches loose (or use a bigger hook). Work it sideways and seam it into a band for a hat brim.
