Worked around the post from the back, creating an indented ridge. Paired with fpdc for ribbing effects.
How to Back Post Double Crochet
1. Yarn over.
2. Insert hook from BACK to FRONT to BACK around the post of the stitch below.
3. Yarn over, pull up a loop.
4. Complete as a regular double crochet.
💡 Pro Tips
When alternating with fpdc: the front posts pop forward and back posts recede, creating stretchy ribbing.
