Crochet Cable
Also known as: Front post cable, crossed post stitches
Front post trebles crossed over each other to make raised twisting cables on a background of plain stitches.
How to Crochet Cable
1. On a background of hdc or dc, mark a column of 4 post stitches.
2. On a cable row: skip 2 posts, FPtr around the next 2 posts, then FPtr around the 2 skipped posts, working in front of the ones just made.
3. On the rows between, work FPdc around each post so the cable stays raised.
💡 Pro Tips
Work a few rows between crossings so the cable has room to twist. Count your post stitches on every cable row.
