Bullion Stitch

Also known as: Roll stitch

Yarn wrapped many times around the hook and pulled through in one go, making a coiled, rope-like stitch. Used for flowers and decorative motifs.

How to Bullion Stitch

1. Wrap the yarn around the hook 7 to 10 times, loosely and evenly. 2. Insert hook in the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. 3. Yarn over and pull through ALL the wraps and loops, easing them off one at a time if needed. 4. Ch 1 to secure.

💡 Pro Tips

A hook with a straight shaft (not tapered) makes this much easier. Hold the wraps with a finger as you pull through.
