Intarsia

Also known as: Block colourwork

Large blocks of colour, each worked from its own small ball of yarn, with nothing carried behind — clean pictures on a single-thickness fabric.

How to Intarsia

1. Wind a small ball (bobbin) for each colour area. 2. Work across, changing to the next block's ball on the last pull-through. 3. Twist the two yarns at each change on the wrong side so no hole forms.

💡 Pro Tips

Untangle bobbins at the end of every row.
