Chain-1 Space
Also known as: ch-1 space, ch sp
The gap left under a chain 1 in the row below. Patterns work stitches INTO the space rather than into the chain itself.
How to Chain-1 Space
1. Find the chain sitting over a gap in the row below.
2. Insert your hook into the gap underneath that chain (not into the chain's loops).
3. Work the stitch as normal.
