Chain
Also known as: Chain stitch
The foundation of almost every crochet project. A chain is a series of interlocking loops that forms the base row or can be used within stitch patterns.
How to Chain
1. Make a slip knot and place it on your hook.
2. Yarn over (wrap yarn around hook from back to front).
3. Pull the yarn through the loop on your hook.
4. One chain made. Repeat for desired number of chains.
💡 Pro Tips
Keep your chains loose and even. Tight chains make it hard to work into later. Count chains from the hook, not including the loop on the hook.
